2. EU/EEA / UK consumers — right of withdrawal
If you are a consumer resident in the European Union, European Economic Area, or the United Kingdom, you have a statutory 14-day right of withdrawal under Directive 2011/83/EU and equivalent UK regulations. You may withdraw from a paid subscription within 14 days of subscription start, without giving any reason.
2.1 How to exercise the right of withdrawal
To exercise your right of withdrawal, please notify us by:
- Submitting a refund request through the Customer Portal at https://billing.transcribeai.app,
- Or emailing
support@noparrot.comwith the subject “Refund Request”, - Or using the Standard Withdrawal Form at the bottom of this page.
You bear no fees or penalties for exercising this right.
2.2 Effects of withdrawal
We will refund all payments received from you, less any pro-rated portion corresponding to days of service actually consumed up to the withdrawal date (calculation explained in §3.2).
The refund is processed via the same payment method used for the original transaction, unless expressly agreed otherwise.
3. Detailed refund rules
3.1 Pro Monthly — first payment
- Window: 14 days from the start of your first paid subscription period.
- Amount: Full refund of the first month’s payment ($9.99 or $7.99 with Early-Bird).
- Anti-abuse: see §5.
3.2 Pro Annual — first payment
-
Window: 14 days from the start of your first paid annual period.
-
Amount: Pro-rated refund using the formula:
refund = total_paid × (days_remaining / 365)where
days_remaining = 365 − days_elapsed_since_subscription_start.Example: paid $89 on day 0; request refund on day 5. Refund = $89 × (360 / 365) ≈ $87.79.
Days are counted in whole calendar days; partial days round in your favour.
-
Anti-abuse: see §5.
3.3 Team subscription
- Window: 14 days from the start of any new seat or upgrade.
- Amount: Pro-rated unused days per seat.
- Process: Team admin contacts
support@noparrot.comwith the seat list.
3.4 Renewal refunds
If we charge you for an automatic renewal you did not intend to keep:
- You may request a refund within 7 days of the renewal charge.
- The refund is pro-rated to the unused days remaining in the renewal period.
- Eligibility additionally requires that no Pro-only feature was used since the renewal (e.g., no new Notion push, no smart-routing run, no OpenAI polish job).
3.5 Cloud Credit packs
Cloud Credit packs are pre-paid digital vouchers.
- Refund window: 30 days from purchase.
- Eligibility: zero minutes consumed since purchase.
- Once any portion is consumed: non-refundable, provided you affirmed the Article 16(m) waiver at checkout (see §4).
- Expiration: unused credits expire 12 months from purchase date. Expired credits are non-refundable.
3.6 Lifetime Pro
- Refund window: 14 days from purchase.
- After 14 days: non-refundable, provided you affirmed the Article 16(m) waiver at checkout (see §4).
4. Article 16(m) waiver — consumed digital content
EU Consumer Rights Directive 2011/83/EU, Article 16(m) permits us to exclude the 14-day right of withdrawal for digital content (including cloud-transcription processing) only if:
- You expressly request that we begin performance during the withdrawal period;
- You acknowledge that you lose your right of withdrawal once performance begins;
- We provide confirmation of your acknowledgement in a durable medium.
At checkout for Cloud Credit packs and Lifetime Pro purchases, you will be asked to affirm two checkboxes:
☐ I expressly request that you begin processing my purchase immediately.
☐ I acknowledge that by checking the box above I lose my right of withdrawal once processing begins.
You can only affirm both boxes voluntarily. If you do NOT affirm both, the full 14-day withdrawal right applies and consumed minutes / used Lifetime access do not affect your right to a full refund.
We record the timestamp and value of your acknowledgement in our orders.legal_consent_json
field for audit purposes. You may request a copy of your consent record by emailing
privacy@noparrot.com.
5. Anti-abuse rules
To prevent fraudulent refund cycling (sometimes called “refund farming”), the following anti-abuse heuristics apply only to non-EU/EEA/UK customers or to renewals (not first-purchase refunds exercised under §2 right of withdrawal):
- Refund eligibility forfeited if more than 30 cloud minutes were consumed since the payment in question.
- Refund eligibility forfeited if more than 50 Pro-only local actions (smart-routing rules saved, Notion / Obsidian / RAG pushes completed, OpenAI polish runs, custom templates saved) were performed since the payment.
- Refund eligibility forfeited if the account is on our chargeback blacklist.
- Refund eligibility forfeited if a previous refund was issued and abuse pattern is identified.
For EU/EEA/UK consumers exercising the statutory 14-day right of withdrawal under §2, the anti-abuse heuristics do not deny eligibility, but we may apply a pro-rata deduction reflecting the service value already consumed (per Directive 2011/83/EU Art. 14(3)).
6. Chargebacks
If you dispute a charge with your card issuer (a “chargeback”), the following automatically apply:
- Your subscription and license are revoked immediately upon next online sync.
- Your account is added to a multi-factor anti-fraud blocklist (email + payment method fingerprint + IP /24 subnet) for a minimum of 90 days.
- You may not self-serve resubscribe during the blocklist period; contact
support@noparrot.comto dispute the listing.
Chargebacks are operationally and financially burdensome. We strongly prefer that you
contact us first at support@noparrot.com before disputing a charge. We respond within 1
business day and will work in good faith to resolve any billing concern.
7. Discounts and promotional credits
Refunds on discounted subscriptions are processed at the actual amount paid (after discount).
Promotional / founder grants (e.g., 12-month founder Pro) do not entitle you to refunds; they are gifts of access, not paid subscriptions.
8. How to request a refund
8.1 Self-serve (recommended)
- Visit https://billing.transcribeai.app (Customer Portal).
- Find the order you wish to refund.
- Click “Request refund” and select a reason.

support@noparrot.comwith subject “Refund Request — Order #[order-id]”. - Include: order ID, payment date, reason for refund.
